This is what we covered at our monthly meeting last week: 

Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival) – Friday, March 1

Classes will come for a Japanese folk tale reading and discussion about the doll display. Volunteers needed to set up 2/28 at 3:30 pm; 3/1 at 7:45 am and to present on 3/1

Japanese Culture / Japan Bowl Club - SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE

Wednesdays, February 13th to May 1st , 3:30PM to 4:30PM in Fox Mill Library
1st - 6th grade.  General Education students are encouraged to join.
$30.00   Cost includes a t-shirt that will be given to all participants in April.
Date of Preliminary Jr. Japan Bowl:   Wednesday, May 1st
Date of Jr. Japan Bowl with Great Falls Elementary: Friday, May 10th at Thomas Jefferson High School
1-2 parent volunteers needed to assist in supervising club on Wednesdays

Matsuri – Friday, May 3, 6 pm - 9 pm

Open Coordinator Positions – **Volunteers Needed  **

Audio Coordinator - Contact school before Matsuri to arrange to use equipment at Matsuri. On night of event, set-up microphone and speakers in gym.
Fish Prints - Prepare tempera paint and brayers, trays, water tubs, table coverings, 2 long tables, paper, JCC rubber sea creatures for prints. Contact Mrs. Welles to borrow drying rack.
JCC Sales Table (work with current coordinator) - Inventory current sales items. Order additional items as needed. Price items. Set-up sales table and Supervise sales on night of Matsuri.
Martial Arts Coordinator (work with current coordinator) - Coordinate Kendo and Karate performers
Onoe Ryu Dance Troupe (work with current coordinator) - Make arrangements with performance group. Meet and greet on night of Matsuri.
Petty Cash Coordinator (work with current coordinator) - Get cash boxes and money from Treasurer. At Masturi - distribute, collect and count money
Snack/Japanese Drinks Coordinator (work with current coordinator)- Purchase Japanese snacks and drinks from warehouse vendor. Pick up order from vendor. Set-up at Matsuri, work and supervise shifts.

JCC Adult Social - Sunday, March 3, 5 pm - 7 pm

Please join us for an evening social! 

WHAT:        A night out to meet new parents and connect with old friends.

WHEN:        Sunday, March 3rd from 5 pm - 7 pm

WHO:          All are welcome! (this is an adults only event)
