Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another great year at Fox Mill Elementary! I hope everyone’s summer was full of fun. My name is Brian Legler and I am your PTA President. My family is very vested in the school as we have three boys that attend and my wife Irelynn is a teacher at Fox Mill. I am so excited for the opportunity to help support our school as your PTA President for a second year.

The PTA raises a significant portion of Fox Mill’s discretionary money that goes to support critical initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded. We provide important resources and programs to Fox Mill families. In the 2017/2018 school year the Fox Mill PTA purchased equipment and coordinating STEM based curriculum for the Innovation Lab to make it easier for teachers to take advantage of our new technology.

Our goal in 2018/2019 is to bring two additional mobile computer labs to the school that will allow each grade to have double the access. Through the help of the PTA these labs will be fully payed for based solely on PTA donations.

In order to fund other important initiatives for our school, we need your continued support. The Fox Mill PTA raises money in a few different ways: membership fees, flat donations, activities and fundraisers. Our major fundraiser this year is the Do Good a-thon, which was a huge success last year, raising over $23,000. This exciting approach to fundraising is based on community service and acts of kindness. The Do Good a-thon builds character among our students, and encourages them to serve others and the surrounding community, while also raising funds for our school. We can’t wait to once again see the positive effect your participation in this fundraiser will have on our school and in our community.

The Fox Mill PTA is comprised of parents just like yourself that want to ensure their children have the best possible experience in their days at Fox Mill Elementary. We encourage you to become actively involved, to be a part of, and enjoy our activities. Involvement is one of the best ways to build relationships through the school: with teachers and staff, with other parents, and with your child’s classmates.
