The South Lakes High School All Night Grad Party (ANGP) committee is in need of volunteers for the All Night Grad Party on June 7th. We are asking future South Lakes families to volunteer for this event. UPDATE | Matsuri Children's Festival on Friday, May 10th, is SOLD OUT!

The Japanese Cultural Committee is overwhelmed with the outpouring of interest and support for our upcoming Matsuri Children's Festival event on May 10th.  Due to an overwhelming response, the 300 child wristbands have been sold out through Givebacks.  Unfortunately, due to building capacity, no additional wristbands will be sold at the door.  Thank you for your understanding as we manage safety and fun!

The PTA will celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week ALL NEXT WEEK, April 29-May 2. The theme this year is: Lights! Camera! Appreciation!  We are excited to roll out the red carpet for Fox Mill’s V.I.P. teachers and staff and show them how much we value their hard work and dedication.  Please read on for a preview of the “script” for the week. We have planned a variety of activities and events that we hope will truly show our star cast of teachers and staff the appreciation they deserve. We cannot wait for the fun to begin!

The JCC is gearing up to prepare for our biggest event of the year: a Japanese Children’s Day Festival called “Matsuri”. We are coordinating with the PTA, School admins and JI teachers for the event, however, Matsuri will not be a success without support from parent and student volunteers! We have various activities to cover! Please consider volunteering for a time-slot so that everybody will have a great time. 2024 Matsuri will be held on Friday, May 10th at Fox Mill ES. Wristbands for children are required for admission ($5 pre-order, $10 at the door) The quantity of wristbands is limited; please order one before it sells out! Adult supervision is required, but there is no cost for adults to enter the event. Meals from Mari Sushi is available via pre-order only. Former Floris Elementary student and former RCMS debater, Evan Meade, who is currently the "best-delegation" winner of the South Lakes Model United Nations team is offering his summer speech and debate program for the 3rd year in a row. This program is open to rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and is an excellent opportunity for students looking to try out for the RCMS debate team or to gain confidence and skills with speech and debate. All students who participate in the program walk away more confident than they were when they started! Read on for more information!
