Fox Mill’s First Ever Boys Running Club Starts in March 2012
Fox Mill’s first ever boys’ running club, Running with the Stars! is being offered starting in March. The purpose of this club is to train for a 5K. This program is for 20 boys from Grades 2-6. Meetings will be held every Friday from March 2 to May 18 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The race will take place on Sunday, May 20 at 7:30am at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne. A buddy runner is required for each student running the 5K.
The cost for the program is $106. The program fee includes one runner tee shirt, one buddy runner tee shirt, a timed 5K event, a numbered bib for each child running, an end of race celebration, and a participation medal.
Parents will be required to help out with at least one training session between March and May.
Safety will be the first priority. Anyone acting in a way that may cause injury to themselves or others will be pulled from the session. No bullying will be tolerated. Disrespectful and inappropriate behavior will result in removal from the program without a refund.
All runners must have a labeled water bottle, appropriate shoes and clothing for the activity and weather. Anyone without water will not be allowed to run.

Complete both the waiver and health history form and send them to school. As soon as your student is admitted to the program, payment will become due and must be paid by the first session.
