The registration fee is $5. Parents of participants must volunteer to help at least once. Click here to open the registration form. Questions? E-mail pbohnenberger@yahoo.com.
Chess Team
The Chess Team includes students in 2nd-6th grades who have played chess who have a strong working understanding of some fundamental and intermediate tactics used in the game who are selected to form a competitive team. The team meets once a week and works with experts in the chess world including Chess Masters. The team plays in tournaments sponsored by the U.S. Chess Center in Washington, DC, and plays other chess teams from other elementary schools in direct matches during the year. Chess Team members must also be in Chess Club.
