Robotics Class Registration Due Jan. 27

Fairfax Collegiate is offering a Mobile Robotics class for Grades 4-6 on Wednesdays after school starting in February. Registration is due by January 27. If more than 12 students register, a lottery will be held to determine class participants. Click here for more information and a registration form.

Running with the Stars Coaches Needed

Running with the Stars is a Loudoun-based organization that provides a twelve-week lesson plan, on-road running experience, a special 5K race, and T-shirts for the runner and a buddy for elementary school boys. The Fox Mill PTA would like to bring this program to Fox Mill as an after school activity starting in February. But needs both men and women to volunteer as coaches. Click here for more information.

New Family Fun Festival Comes to Fox Mill in March; Volunteers Needed

On Friday, March 16, the PTA will launch the Fox Mill Family Festival, an evening of fun for students and parents alike!  If you would like to assist in planning the Fox Mill Family Festival, contact Tina Anderson at 703-919-3075 or via e-mail at tina@novakbiddle.com. Online Auction March 5-9; Donations Needed

This year’s online auction will take place March 5-9, and we need your help to make it a success! While the event seems far in the future, in actuality the bulk of the work to acquire donations for the auction takes place NOW.  If you would like to volunteer or have suggestions about merchants who would be willing to donate or just have questions, contact Online Auction Committee Chair Therese Howe at theresehowe@hotmail.com.

Kids Helping Kids for 3rd Grade on Jan. 27

All third grade grade students will participate in the Kids Helping Kids program on Friday, Jan. 27. Fox Mill 2012 Science Fair: Register by Feb. 10

The Science Fair returns to Fox Mill and will be bigger and better than ever. All students in grades 3-6 are invited to register individually or in teams of two or three students. Now is the time to start thinking about your ideas. You must register by Feb. 10.  Click here for the registration form and more information.

Shopping for Dollars Continues

Please  be sure to register your Giant Foods, Harris Teeter, Target, and Bloom grocery cards. And don’t forget to use the Office Deport school code 70103949 whenever you shop. Registering costs you nothing and the PTA earns money. Click here  for more information.

Scheduling Playdates and Leaving Early

Click here to open a form that you can fill out and submit to the office if your child is having a playdate  after school or leaving school early. Parents of both children are required to submit written permission for the school to allow a playdate.
