Running with the Stars Coaches Needed
Running with the Stars is a Loudoun-based organization that provides a twelve-week lesson plan, on-road running experience, a special 5K race, and T-shirts for the runner and a buddy for elementary school boys. The Fox Mill PTA would like to bring this program to Fox Mill as an after school activity starting in February. We will hold a coaches’ meeting on Friday, Feb. 2 to explain the program and organize coaching responsibilities. The number of students who can participate, and the grades that will be included in this opportunity, are dependent on the coaching teams. Click here for more information.
Mobile Robotics (Grades 4-6) Registration Still Open
There are still slots let. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Classes start Feb. 8. Click here for more information, including a registration form.
FLEX Spanish Classes Start Feb. 10, Register by Feb. 7
The PTA will be offering FLEX Spanish classes on Friday afternoons, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., to grades K-6. Classes will begin on Friday, Feb. 10 and continue for 15 weeks. There will be no class April 6, May 4, or June 1; classes will end June 8. Registration is due by Tuesday, Feb. 7. Click here for more information, including registration.
Foxy Wear Sales Start Feb. 8
Don’t miss out on our new spring spirit wear line! Clothing and apparel will be available to purchase from Feb. 8 until Feb. 24 only. No late orders will be accepted. Pony-o’s and magnets will be available to purchase all school year. Foxy Wear will be delivered to the school for pickup on March 16 at the Fox Mill Family Festival. Fox Mill 2012 Science Fair: Register by Feb. 10
The Science Fair returns to Fox Mill and will be bigger and better than ever. All students in grades 3-6 are invited to register individually or in teams of two or three students. Now is the time to start thinking about your ideas. You must register by Feb. 10. Click here for the registration form and more information.
Online Auction March 5-9; Donations Needed
This year’s online auction will take place March 5-9, and we need your help to make it a success! While the event seems far in the future, in actuality the bulk of the work to acquire donations for the auction takes place NOW. If you would like to volunteer or have suggestions about merchants who would be willing to donate or just have questions, contact Online Auction Committee Chair Therese Howe at theresehowe@hotmail.com.
Shopping for Dollars Continues

Scheduling Playdates and Leaving Early
